The Cosy Porter (“we”) shall charge a fee for the rental of each Try Before You Buy ("TBYB") carrier, at our discretion. This fee is non-refundable and non-exchangeable. All rental carriers are subject to availability, condition and suitability. We shall not be responsible for any delays once the rental carrier has been shipped.
Security Deposits
A deposit may be authorised or charged for each rental carrier. This hold will be removed or charge refunded once the carrier has been returned and without damage.
Additional fees
- Late fees: an additional fee of S$3 will be charged for each day the carrier has not been returned. After 30 days, the carrier will be assumed lost or stolen, and a police report will be made. Unreturned carriers will be charged at the full retail price and the 30-day late fee.
- Damage/cleaning fees: a fee will be charged if a carrier is returned soiled or damaged without prior notice to The Cosy Porter. This fee may vary, depending on the state of the carrier.
- Missing accessories: A fee of S$20 per accessory will be charged. It is the renter’s responsibility to ensure the carrier they received included all accessories prior to use.

Smoking penalty: smoking or vaping is not permitted while using or around the carrier. We kindly request that the carriers are not used in smoking households or around smokers else a fee equivalent to the full cost to replace the carrier will be charged.
We reserve the right to waive any and all fees provided the renter has made a reasonable attempt to inform us in advance. We ensure carriers are shipped to renters clean and in good working condition prior to shipping to the renter. It is the renter’s responsibility to thoroughly check the carrier upon receipt and before returning it to us, and to inform us of any damage.
The renter is responsible for the safe use of carriers borrowed. We shall not be responsible for any damage, injury or death that may occur from the use or misuse of the carrier.
Smoking
Smoking or vaping is not permitted while using or around the carrier. We kindly request that the carriers are not used in smoking households or around smokers else a fee equivalent to the full cost to replace the carrier will be charged.
Pets
Pets must be kept away from the carrier at all times, and the renter is responsible for removing any shed hairs on the carrier prior to return. We cannot guarantee that the carrier will be free from all hair/pet fur.
Stains, sharp objects, open flames
The carrier should be kept away from anything that may stain it, including oils, sunscreen, paint, ink, or damage the carrier, including open flames, sharp objects, jewellery, long or unkept nails.
Water
Unless specified, carriers must not be used in water bodies such as pools, chlorinated water, water parks, oceans.
Illness
The renter must inform us if they or their child is unwell. The rental will be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Drool pads
Drool pads are recommended for use by babies or kids that are prone to spitting up, drooling or are actively teething. Rental drool pads are thoroughly laundered between rentals.
All carriers are spot cleaned between rentals, and thoroughly cleaned as needed.
Return label
The return label is prepaid and included. In the event the label or packaging has been lost, the renter will be responsible for returning the carrier at their expense.
