The Cosy Porter's Lending Library

Renting a baby carrier via our lending library is a low-cost, low-risk way of trying a carrier without the commitment.

It's a great opportunity to discover new styles, fabrics and global brands. And, hopefully, you'll find a carrier that works perfectly for you and your family.

On average, our rental carriers only cost S$2-S$5 per day, and the fee includes shipping both ways.

♡ Read the full Terms and Conditions of our TBYB programme here.

How it works

  1. You pick a carrier and rent it for 1 or 2 weeks
  2. A non-refundable fee and security deposit will be charged upon checkout. The security deposit will be refunded upon safe return of the carrier. By checking out, you have been deemed to have read and agreed to our Try Before You Buy Terms & Conditions.
  3. Once received, check the carrier to ensure you have all the accessories.
  4. Enjoy the carrier! Make it a part of your routine – take it out on school runs, trips to the park or even on vacation.
  5. When the week is up, return the carrier using our prepaid label and taking it to a drop-off point.

Our TBYB programme is only available to those in Singapore.

Why should you rent before buying?

Every rental includes a free fit check by a babywearing educator

Just text us via WhatsApp and include a clear photo of you using the carrier taken from the front, side and back.

No commitment required

Carriers aren't one-size-fits-all and good quality ones can be expensive. To ensure a long and comfortable babywearing journey, it's important to find a carrier that works for you and doesn't end up in the bomb shelter.

What's easily available isn't necessarily what's good

Many people will already own a carrier, often through their registry or as a hand-me-down. Unfortunately, many of these carriers may feature outdated designs or are poor quality white label products sold at a premium.

Your needs change

Babies grow incredibly quickly within the first year – from a newborn that needs a lot of support to a baby that wants to see more of the world. It is extremely rare that a carrier suitable for a newborn will still be comfortable once your baby is around 3 months. It is also around this time that many parents give up on babywearing entirely because of a more fussy baby. Coincidence?

Carriers take time to be the best version of themselves

Baby carriers made of natural fibres tend to get better the more they are used; the fibres become softer and the straps less stiff. So it's a lot easier to learn how to use carriers like a ring sling, woven wrap, half buckle or meh day when the fabric has already been broken in.

For fun!

It's a great opportunity to explore different carriers from around the world. Who knows - maybe your next carrier will be the one you least expect!
